Harbor Run is a small, young kennel located in western New York, just 15 minutes south of Buffalo, dedicated to breeding the kind and gentle Labrador Retriever that is true to the breed standard. We strive to produce family companions which are healthy, sound, and well balanced, with the beauty of correct conformation

Our kennel is centered on an English style and temperament. Our focus is on blacks and yellows, but occasionally will have chocolate. We have a small number of dogs that live in the house, interacting with our family all day long

When we breed our Labradors, we do it with the intention of expanding our own breeding program. All of our dogs are certified through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), with a hip and elbow evaluation to help prevent hereditary issues such as hip or elbow dysplasia, and a CERF evaluation for the prevention of passing on genetic eye disease.

My daughter Carolyn and I can be found at dog shows on most weekends. We have been showing and breeding Labradors since 2002. We find showing our dogs at Specialty Shows to be quite rewarding. There is nothing better for ones breeding program than to be judged by your peers.
